BronyCon Announces Voice Actress Nicole Oliver

BronyCon is proud to once again welcome the voice of Princess Celestia and Cheerilee, Nicole Oliver! 

Well known for her work on shows such as Ranma ½, Littlest Pet Shop, X-Men: Evolution, and Maison Ikkoku, Oliver is also a talented actress appearing in episodes of everything from Stargate SG-1 to Supernatural. In addition to those impressive credits, she's dabbled in producing and directing for television and film. We're honored to have her grace our stage a third time!

BronyCon Announces Voice Actress Cathy Weseluck

BronyCon is thrilled to announce that Cathy Weseluck will be returning to BronyCon this August! In My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Weseluck is the voice of everyone’s favorite baby dragon and faithful assistant Spike, as well as the voice of Mayor Mare and numerous other citizens of Ponyville. 

The old-school pony fans out there may be interested to know that Weseluck was the Singing Director for My Little Pony Tales, as well as the voice of Rarity in two G3.5 specials.

Weseluck also has an impressive record of voice work outside of My Little Pony, including The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Kid vs. Kat, and most recently the Hub’s latest hit show Littlest Pet Shop. She has also voiced prominent roles in the English dubs of many popular Japanese anime, including Deathnote, Dragonball Z, Ranma 1/2, and Inuyasha.

BronyCon Announces Voice Actress Michelle Creber

Looking for yet another reason to attend BronyCon? We are happy to announce the talented Michelle Creber as one of our guests of honor!

Although she's only 13, Creber already has an impressive number of roles under her belt. Aside from her well-known work as the speaking and singing voice of Applebloom and the singing voice of Sweetie Belle, she's acted on the screen and stage in shows like Supernatural and R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour and musicals such as The Wizard of Oz and Annie. Creber has also released two music albums, including one in collaboration with popular brony musicians The Living Tombstone, Mic the Microphone, and MandoPony.

BronyCon and GalaCon Rally in Support of Bronies for Good’s Seeds of Kindness 3

Sister conventions BronyCon and GalaCon are combining their forces this year to support Bronies for Good in their Seeds of Kindness 3 charity.

Bronies for Good is an international organization that is committed to fostering the growth of a global community of caring, socially conscious individuals through the organization of service events worldwide and encouraging individual, group and social involvement.

Mascots Mane Event, Blank Canvas and Hoof Beatz of BronyCon and Canni Soda of GalaCon are urging you to attend one of these grand events this summer and take part in the charity auction, where the proceeds of the auctions from both events will go to supporting Seeds of Kindness 3—not to mention relax and have a great time with what both conventions have to offer!

Announcing BronyCon's Latest Mane Event: Whose Line is it Anypony!

Fancy yourself a comedian? Want to make a large group of bronies laugh their flanks off at BronyCon this year on stage? Well we have a brand new event for you to try your hoof at this year!

Welcome to Whose Line is it Anypony! The event where everything is made up and the points don't matter. That's right, the points are just like Trixie trying to take over Ponyville; they just don't matter. We are looking for four crazy ponies to play in our improvisational game show that will be in the Mane hall this summer.

BronyCon Announces Voice Actor Lee Tockar

It has been a long wait, so BronyCon is pleased to make the next of many major guest announcements and tell you that voice actor Lee Tockar will be appearing at BronyCon 2013, which will be Aug. 2-4, in Baltimore.  Tockar is widely known among bronies for his work on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as the voice behind the fan-named sea serpent Steven Magnet and Snips. He also does additional voices for the show as needed. Tockar has also lent his talent in the Japanese anime scene for series such as Death Note and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed.  In addition to being a voice actor, Tockar is also the founder of Fanbuilt. Fanbuilt serves as the world’s first virtual animation studio, allowing animators, writers, musicians, artists, composers and designers to collaborate on projects through its online forum and incentivize the creativity with competitions that have a cash reward.  For more information on Tockar’s attendance at BronyCon 2013, please visit the guest page.

Everfree Network to Stream BronyCon 2013

BronyCon is pleased to announce that we will be streaming parts of our convention again this year for those around the world who might not be able to make it to Baltimore this August. We are happier to announce that after much work, we have named Everfree Network our official streaming partner for BronyCon this year. Everfree Network streamed both of our convention in 2012, and we are excited to have them back for the biggest Brony event of the season.

BronyCon Announces New Location for its 2014 Convention

BronyCon is showing that the sky truly isn’t the limit by bringing you an “out of this world” experience by taking its convention to the moon for BronyCon 2014.

 “We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” Zephyr Sparkle, convention chair of BronyCon, said in a very reminiscent speech.

Sparkle went on to explain “that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win.”

BronyCon is leaving no energy to spare as they have already contracted construction of the moon base necessary for the event. The “Mane Event Hall” in the base is said to be able to accommodate up to 12,000 people for its annual music festival, BronyPalooza. That’s double the space available for its 2013 event! There will also be a special con discount rate for lodging on the moon.

BronyCon Finalizes BronyPalooza — 2 Days, 12 Hours, 33 Musicians

Last but not least, BronyCon has finalized its extensive and legendary lineup for BronyPalooza 2013, the largest brony concert in the world that covers a wide range of musical genres.

The demand this year was so great with an overwhelming 89 hours of performance time requested that BronyCon has decided to extend BronyPalooza across two days of the convention, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2-3, for a total concert time of 12 hours.

After making incredibly tough decisions of who to select from the 150 applicants, BronyCon is excited to expand its performance list to 33 musicians with the addition of Assertive Fluttershy, Metajoker, Jeff Burgess, Flaedr, PhillyPu, Chain Algorithm, dBPony, Replacer and Feather.

The Baltimore Convention Center also offers the space for BronyPalooza to accommodate an audience of 6,000 bronies—which is enough to fit the entire attendance of BronyCon Summer 2012 with plenty of room to spare!

BronyCon is working on a very special video project to play at our convention this summer, and we need help from you—our attendees and supporters! How would you like to use your face to help promote BronyCon to the world while being a part of something awesome in the process?  All you need to do is send us a video of yourself talking about why you love BronyCon and what makes the convention special to you. Whether you have attended every BronyCon event to date, or this coming summer will be your first BronyCon, we want to hear why you are so passionate about our convention.  We have fans of all ages and backgrounds coming to BronyCon from around the globe. This project will demonstrate what can drive thousands of people from such a diverse crowd to come together in a massive celebration of a single TV show and its community. Get creative, be original and show us why you are BronyCon’s number one fan!
